Play therapy sessions
Play Therapy sessions
Play Therapy sessions typically last between 40 to 45 minutes and are held weekly. A minimum of 12 sessions is generally recommended for most children, although some may require more, depending on their individual needs. Each session is conducted one-on-one, involving only the child and the therapist. Confidentiality is crucial for the therapeutic process to be effective. A parent review will occur after the 6th session to discuss progress. The total number of sessions needed will be determined through consultation between the therapist, parents/guardians, and the child. Crucially, sessions will progress at the child’s pace. Regular review meetings will assess the child’s progress and determine when to conclude therapy. |
