Our Story

Both of our services in Clonmel and Cashel are purpose built childcare centres, providing high quality care and education to children between the ages of one year old and six years old. Longfield Academy has been providing quality childcare since 2009.

Our buildings are bright and spacious with each room opening out onto our large and attractive play area with safety surface which provides a fun and safe environment. Each room is carefully set up to ensure it is age- appropriate and that it meets the needs of each individual child. Our Team have great passion in ensuring their rooms are inviting, bright and child friendly.

We are open 52 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday 7.30am-6.00pm. (Closed Bank Holidays)

We offer a wide range of services from Junior Toddlers & Senior Toddlers to Preschool  & Montessori classes. We also run Camps during non-term times for the preschool aged children; Easter Camps and Summer Camps.

Our emphasis is on the holistic and individual development of each child. We provide a child-centred, home from home environment, where we encourage independence through the teaching of life skills at the child’s own pace. Longfield Academy provides a safe and  secure environment which is rich in opportunities, enabling children to grow and learn through their own experiences.

Our rooms offer a play based curriculum built on the four themes of Aistear: Well-being, Communication, Identity & Belonging, Exploring & Thinking; our practitioners also  encorporate elements of Montessori and Highscope.

 We believe that play is how children make sense of the world around them, at Longfield Academy we prepare a positive learning environment that allows children to explore and express themselves.
