Curriculum
Our play-based curriculum is guided by the four themes of Aistear; Exploring & Thinking, Identity & Belonging, Well-being and Communicating. The early years practitioners incorporate a balance of child-led, guided and adult led activity.
In order to ensure that learning is meaningful and relevant for each child, we build on the children's own interests when creating our weekly plans, taking every opportunity to create a learning experience.

Social skills & Life Skills
In preschool, children will build on their social skills by engaging in peer interactions where they have opportunities to develop their cooperation skills and develop interpersonal relationships through collaborative play, group activities and shared experiences. These experiences contribute to the development of empathy, conflict resolution and relationship building skills that will be invaluable through-out their lives.
Literacy & Mathematics
Play is a powerful avenue for the development of both literacy and mathematical skills. Play-based experiences provide he children with numerous opportunities to develop and strengthen their literacy and mathematical skills.
Through play, they engage in language rich environments, practice reading and writing and enhance their understanding of numbers, spatial concepts and problem solving strategies.
These meaningful play based experiences lay a solid foundation for primary school academics.
